Ingredients

  • Besan (Gram Flour) : 2 Cups

  • Yeast : 1 Tsp

  • Sugar : 2 Tsp

  • Salt : 1/2 Tsp

  • Baking Soda : 1/4 Tsp

  • Carom Seeds (Ajwain) : 1 Tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder : 1/2 Tsp

  • Yogurt : 250 gm

  • Sugar : 4 Tsp

  • Salt: 1/2 tsp

  • Water: 1 Cup or as required

Method and Instructions

  • In a bowl take 2 cups Besan (gram Flour) 1 Tsp Yeast, 2 Tsp Sugar, 1/2 Tsp Salt, 1/4 Tsp Baking Soda, 1 tsp Carom Seeds (Ajwain), 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, and mix well.

  • Gradually add water, to make a thick and smooth batter. Let it rest till yeast  activates

  • Now, Take some Oil in a frying pan and make some Phulkiyan, Fry till Golden brown, Take them out and Soak in water for 2 minutes.

    Squeeze gently to remove excess water.

  • Take 250 gm yogurt in a bowl, add 4 Tsp sugar, 1/2 Tsp Salt, and mix well. gradually Add 1 cup water or as required and keep whisking.

  • Now pour this mixture to Phulkis, sprinkle some chaat masala, add some imli chutney and enjoy.
