Steamed Beef Ribs Recipe

Ingredients

  • For Cleaning the Meat
  • Beef Ribs: 2 kg (2 pieces)

  • Vinegar: as required

  • Salt: as required

  • For Marination
  • Red chilli powder: 1 Tsp

  • Coriander powder: 1 Tsp

  • Turmeric: 1 Tsp

  • Garam Masala: 1/2 Tsp

  • Salt: 1 Tsp

  • Orange Food Colour: 1 Pinch

  • Flour: 2 Tsp

  • Garlic Paste: 1 Tsp

  • Egg: 1/2

  • Lemon Juice: 1

Directions

  • Make holes in the Meat with a Fork and rub Vinegar & Salt liberally on the Beef Ribs. Let them rest for 4 hours.

  • Take out the excess water from the Ribs and marinate them overnight with the given ingredients.

  • After marination, wrap each rib in Aluminium Foil separately and make holes at the back with a skewer, so that any steam water pours out of the foil.

  • Now for cooking, add water in a pressure cooker, depending on the height of your stand. The water should not touch the stand on which we will place the ribs. Add Nutmeg, Mace & Bay leaves in the Water and place the stand. Fit in both the Ribs, over one another, or side to side. Cover the pressure cooker and at first cook on High Flame.
    Once the whistle starts moving, low down the flame. Cook for 1 hour on low flame.

  • Either serve it as it is after steaming, or if you want a nice colour on the ribs, then apply a little oil & grill them in the oven till the desired colour.
