Ingredients

  • Red beans (Rajma): 2 Cups (Soak in 1 Litre Water overnight or at least for 6 hours)

  • Tomatoes: 3 Medium size

  • Onion: 1 Large

  • Ginger 1/2 Inch Piece

  • Garlic Cloves: 4

  • Salt: 1.5 Tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder: 1 Tsp

  • Turmeric Powder: 1 Tsp

  • Cover & Cook for Half an Hour

  • Add Green Chillies: 4

  • Chopped Coriander: 1 Cup

  • Kasuri Methi 1 Tsp

  • For Tarka
  • Grated Garlic. 2 Cloves

  • Oil 1/2 Cup

  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp

Method and Instructions

  • Blend Tomatoes, Onion, Ginger, 4 Garlic Cloves to make a puree.

  • In a Pressure Cooker, add Soaked Beans, Puree, Water 1 Litre, Salt, Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder.

    Cover & Cook for Half an Hour

  • Add 4 Green Chillies , 1 Cup Chopped Coriander, and  1 Tsp Kasuri Methi

  • Take 1/2 Cup Oil in a Pan, add 2 Cloves grated garlic and 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala (Whole Spices) and garnish the Rajma.

    Serve Hot with Boiled Rice.
