Ingredients

  • Oil: 1/2 Cup

  • Onions: 2 Medium (Sliced)

  • Tomatoes: 3 Medium Size (Boiled & Blended)

  • Water: 1 Cup

  • Green Chillies for Stuffing 

  • Coriander: 1/2 Cup Chopped

  • For Chicken Marination
  • Chicken Drumsticks: 1 Kg

  • Garlic Paste: 1.5 Tbsp

  • Ginger Paste: 1 Tbsp

  • Coriander Powder: 1 Tbsp

  • Salt: 1.5 Tsp

  • Turmeric Powder: 1 Tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder: 1.5 Tsp

  • Yogurt: 250 gm (Keep 1/4 Cup for Later Use)

  • For Achari Masala
  • Cumin Seeds: 2 Tsp

  • Coriander Seeds: 2 Tsp

  • Kasuri Methi: 1 Tsp

  • Fennel Seeds: 2 Tsp

  • Fenugreek Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Mustard Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Nigella Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Citric Acid: 1/4 Tsp

Method and Instructions

  • In a Bowl Add all the ingredients for Chicken Marination, mix it well and marinate the chicken for 30 Minutes.

  • Now, Add all the ingredients of Achari Masala in a grinder and grind into powder form. 

  • Add 2 Tsp of the Achari Masala powder in the Remaining 1/4 Cup Yogurt and Mix.

  • Make a Slit and stuff/fill Green Chillies with the Yogurt Mixture.

  • Mix Well and Fry on Medium High Flame for 3 Minutes.

  • In a Kadahi add 1/2 cup Oil, Sliced Onions and fry till light pink. 

  • Add the Marinated Chicken and Fry well for 3 minutes.

  • Add the Achari Masala and 3 Medium Tomatoes ( Add 1 Cup Water and Cover & Cook on Medium Low Flame for 15 Minutes.

  • Now Place the Stuffed Green Chillies and Cover & Cook for 10 Minutes on Medium Low Flame.

  • Garnish with 1/2 Cup Chopped Coriander.

    Easy and Delicious Achari Chicken is Ready to be Served.
