Ingredients

  • Beef with Bones : 1.5 kg

  • Water : 1.5 Litre

  • Salt : 2 Tbsp

  • Salt : 3 Tbsp

  • Sella Rice: 1 kg

  • Oil: 1 cup

  • Onions : 2 Medium Thinly Sliced

  • Yogurt : 1/2 Cup

  • Red/Orange Food Colour : 1/2 Tsp

  • Cloves Powder : 1/2 Tsp

  • Nutmeg : 1 Tsp

  • Mace Powder : 1 Tsp

  • Green Cardamom Powder : 1/2 Tsp

  • Garlic/Ginger/Green Chillies Paste) : 3 Tbsp

  • Red Chilli Flakes : 2 Tbsp

  • Turmeric : 1 Tsp

  • Cumin Seeds : 1 Tbsp

  • Black Cardamom : 4

  • Green Cardamom : 8-10

  • Cloves : (20 Cloves) 1 Tsp

  • Black Pepper Corns : (40 corns) 1/2 Tbsp

  • Cinnamon Sticks : 3-4

  • Dried Plums : 12-14

  • Yogurt : 1/2 Cup

  • Tomatoes : 7-8 Medium Size Diced

  • Mint Leaves : Chopped 1 Cup

  • Coriander : 1 Cup

Method and Instructions

  • Take 1.5 litre water add 2 Tbsp Salt and 1.5 kg Beef with bones. Cover & cook till meat is tender & Water is Dried.

  • Boil 2 Litre Water add 3 Tbsp Salt and mix well. Then add 1 Kg Soaked & Drained Sella Rice, Boil rice till 50% Cooked.

  • Add 1 Cup Oil in a Frying Pan, add thinly sliced onions, Fry Onions till Golden Brown, Separate Onions for Later use.

  • In half cup Yogurt, add 1/2 Tsp Red/Orange Food Colour, 1/2 Tsp Cloves Powder, 1 Tsp Nutmeg, 1 Tsp Mace Powder and 1/2 Tsp Green Cardamom Powder.

    Mix Well!

  • Now in the beef add 3 Tbsp Garlic/Ginger/Green Chillies Paste, 2 Tbsp Red Chilli Flakes, 1 Tsp Turmeric, 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds, 4 Black Cardamom, 8-10 Green Cardamom, 20 Cloves, 40 Black Peppercorns (1/2 Tbsp), 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks, 12-14 Dried Plums, and 1/2 cup Yogurt Mix it well.

  • Add 7-8 Medium Size Diced Tomatoes, add dahi mixture, 1 cup chopped Mint leaves, 1 Cup Coriander, add fried onions, boiled and Strained Rice, Yellow Food colour, 1/2 Cup oil.

  • Cover & Cook on Very Low Flame for 25 minutes. Beef Yakhni Biryani is ready to Serve & Enjoy.
