Ingredients

  • Garlic Cloves: 2

  • Ginger: 2 inch Piece

  • Onions: 2 Medium

  • Oil: 1/4 Cup

  • one large Beef Paya: 1.5 kg

  • Turmeric: 1.5 tsp

  • Salt: 1 Tbsp

  • Red Chilli Powder: 1/2 tbsp

  • Coriander Powder: 1 tbsp

  • Water: 2 litre

  • For Paya Masala
  • Carom Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Black Cardamom: 2

  • Nutmeg: Small Piece

  • Black Pepper Corns: 1/2 tbsp

  • Cumin Seeds: 1 Tbsp

  • Black Cumin Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Cinnamon Stick: 2-3

  • Paprika Powder: 1/2 tbsp

  • Green Cardamom: 12

  • Cloves: 1 Tsp

  • Onions: 2 Medium Size (Sliced)

  • Oil: 1/2 Cup

  • Yogurt: 1 Cup

  • Chopped Coriander for Garnishing

  • Sliced Ginger for Garnishing

  • Lemon Juice for Garnishing

Method and Instructions

  • Take 2 Garlic Cloves, 2 inch Piece of Ginger, 2 medium size Onions and blend them in a Blender.

  • In a Pressure Cooker add 1/4 Cup Oil and one large Beef Paya: 1.5 kg.

  • Fry Well and add the Blended onion Paste. Mix and Fry well.

  • Take 1.5 tsp Turmeric, 1 Tbsp Salt, 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp Coriander Powder, Mix all the Ingredients well with the Paya and add 2 litre water.

  • Cover the Lid & Cook for 1 Hour on Medium Flame. Paya is Fully Cooked

  • Preparation of Paya Masala
  • Crush all the spices (mentioned in Paya Masala) in a grinder. 

  • Now in a Wok or Pot fry 2 Medium Sliced Onions in 1/2 Cup Oil.

  • Fry till Golden Brown and take them Out in a Plate.

  • Add 1 Cup Yogurt and the Grinded Paya Masala, Fry Well.

  • Crush the Fried Onions and add in the Yogurt Mixture. Now add the Paya in this Masala.

  • Cover & Cook on Low Flame for 2-3 minutes.

  • Delicious and Easy Beef Paya are Ready to be Served.
    Garnish with Chopped Coriander, Sliced Ginger and Lemon Juice.
