Ingredients

  • For Green Chutney
  • Coriander: 1 Cup

  • Mint Leaves: 1 Cup

  • Spinach (Blanched): 1 Cup

  • Lemon Juice: 1 whole

  • For Pulao
  • Oil: 1/2 Cup

  • Black Pepper Corns: 20

  • Cloves: 10

  • Bay Leaves: 2

  • Cinnamon Sticks: 2

  • Star Anise: 4

  • Green Cardamom: 10

  • Thinly Sliced Onions: 1 Large

  • Chicken: 1 kg

  • Ginger Paste: 1 Tbsp

  • Garlic Paste: 2 Tbsp

  • Green Chilli Paste: 2 Tbsp

  • Yogurt: 1 Cup

  • Plums: 10

  • Cumin Seeds: 1/2 Tbsp

  • Black Cumin Seeds: 1 Tsp

  • Crushed Coriander: 1 Tbsp

  • Garam Masala Powder: 1/2 Tbsp

  • Salt: 1 Tbsp

  • Soaked & Strained Rice: 1 kg

  • Water: 1 Litre

Method and Instructions

  • Preparation of hari Chutney
  • Blend Coriander, Mint Leaves, Spinach and Lemon Juice Ingredients and make a Chutney.

  • Preparation of Pulao
  • Add 1/2 Cup Oil in a Pot, add Black Pepper Corns, Cloves, Bay Leaves, Cinnamon Sticks, Star Anise, Green Cardamom, fry them slightly and add Thinly Sliced Onions, fry the onion till golden brown.

  • Add 1 Kg Chicken, and fry well. Then Add Ginger Paste, Garlic Paste, Green Chilli Paste. Fry till the Chicken Turns White in Colour.

  • Now add, 1 Cup Yogurt, Plums, after frying, Cumin Seeds, Black Cumin Seeds, Crushed Coriander, Garam Masala Powder, Salt, Mix & Fry all the ingredients well.

    Cover & cook for 10 minutes.

  • Add the Hari Chutney and mix till well combined. Cover & Cook for 15 minutes. Add 1 litre water, soaked and strained Rice, and Salt.

  • Mix Well and Cover & Cook for 10 Minutes. Rice are Well Cooked, Now Cover with a Cloth and Cook on Low Flame for 5 minutes.

    Tasty and Simple, Green Chicken Pulao is Ready to be Served.
