Ingredients

  • For Karahi Masala
  • Coriander Seeds (slightly roasted) 1 Tbsp

  • Black Pepper Corns 1/2 Tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder 1 Tsp

  • Kashmiri Lal Mirchi/ Paprika Powder 1 Tsp

  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tsp

  • Kasuri Methi 1/2 Tbsp

  • Citric Acid / Tatri. 1/4 Tsp

  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp

  • Cumin Seeds (slightly roasted) 1/2 Tbsp

  • Salt 1 Tsp

Method and Instructions

  • Preparation of Kadahi Masala
  • Grind all the ingredients into a Powder Seasoning 

  • In a Kadhai take 1/2 Cup Oil, 1 kg Mutton (fry till meat turns white) then add 1/2 Tbsp Crushed Garlic,  1/2 Tsp Salt, 2 Cups Water, Cover & cook on medium low flame till the meat is tender.

  • then add 500gm Tomatoes cut in half (cover again & cook for 15 minutes till tomatoes blanche and remove the skin, mash the tomatoes with spoon).

  • then add The Powder Seasoning, Diced 5 Green Chillies,
    thinly Sliced 2 Tbsp Ginger , 1/2 Cup chopped Coriander, cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
    Ready to serve.
